Last day with the best friends

When Keren was pregnant with Jackson, we had very little money and lived in a bad part of town. We had to save up every last penny so we could move out. When Mothers Day came along, I couldnt afford to buy anything for Keren so I got a piece of paper, folded it in half, then drew our family on the front cover. Inside, I wrote something sentimental probably along the lines of how she is going to be the best mom ever and Im so grateful for her. I left it on the kitchen counter before going to work. Later that day, I came home and the card was gone. I saw Keren and asked her what she thought about it. She said she threw it away because she thought it was something her niece drew and left behind. I went into the trash and gave it to Keren. \r
