My only wish is not at all
For you to conquer the English Fleet
I would never give you such a call
It wouldn’t sweep me off my feet

I do not ask you such a thing
To give me of your love or your wealth
I would never ask you for a golden ring
Nor to give me health

The only wish I want you to meet
Is to take the train to Aranjuez and return
To pick a strawberry, red and sweet
That would for certain

Make my tender heart burn
