There were protests in cities across Spain on Thursday, April 26, after five men accused of the gang rape of a teenage girl in Pamplona in 2016 were found guilty on a lesser charge of sexual abuse.
The men, Angel Boza, Alfonso Cabezuelo, Jesus Escudero, Antonio Manuel Guerrero, and Jose Angel Prenda, who called themselves “la manada” or “the wolf pack” in their WhatsApp group, were each jailed for nine years</a>, given five years’ probation, and ordered to pay €10,000 each to the woman.
