Lancia Ypsilon HR Racing Design Preview

The second round of the Italian Rally Championship featured the first outing of the Lancia Ypsilon Rally4 HF. Seven of these vehicles, developed specifically for young rally drivers and fielded by private teams, took part. Gianandrea Pisani and co-driver Nicola Biagi took an excellent third place in the two-wheel drive classification in the RO Racing Lancia Ypsilon Rally4 HF. The Finnish junior team of Tuukka Kauppinen/Veli-Pekka Kartunen won a special stage in their class with the MS Munaretto Lancia Ypsilon Rally4 HF.

The vehicle, developed with the support of two-time World Rally Champion Miki Biasion, is equipped with an 82 kW (212 hp) turbocharged engine, a SADEV 5-speed transmission, and adjustable Öhlins shock absorbers – perfect for young talents looking to prove themselves in competition. It's no wonder, then, that the Trofeo Lancia is already fully booked with 40 teams – including 25 drivers under 35 years of age. The one-make cup, organized by Lancia, will debut on May 8, 2025, at the Rally Targa Florio in Sicily, the third round of the Italian championship. With prize money of €360,000 and the chance for the winner to join the official Lancia Corse HF team for the European Rally Championship in 2026, the Trofeo Lancia is already one of the most exciting competitions of the season.
