Lalita's Prayer

Young Ita was shy, timid, and remarkably quiet. She barely spoke a word. Her worried parents, through prayer, discovered they were blessed beyond words.

Author's Note: I'm so grateful for the strong women in my life who constantly pray for me, through every stage. Growing up in a religious home, I learned to take all my worries to the Lord. This book was inspired by my parents' concern when I was a late talker. Years later, as a mom, my husband and I faced similar worries when our son Tony was also a late talker.

This story is dedicated to my Aunt Angela (Ita is her nickname), who always prays for me. Even though I'm an adult with my own children, she still sees me as her treasured little girl. The unshakable faith of my mother, aunt, and extended family has always kept me grounded.
