Description
Lacoste is in the Lubéron (Provence) (Vaucluse) regions and départements of Southeastern France.
This castle was the domain of the family of Le Marquis de Sade.
Rather than lament their loss of competitiveness with regard to confits de fruits, almonds and ochre (pigment), the area wisely switched their focus to tourism, sports and wine over 60 years ago.
We exprerienced the famous "mistral" winds here -- strong and destructive. It is a clean place, sunny, dry, and very Mediterranean in atmosphere.
