Lace Votive Candles

Learn how to make lace votive candles with this SheKnows craft how-to.
1. Cut lace into rectangle
2. Use the laces pattern as a decorative edge for top of votive
3. Do a pull stitch along the straight edge of lace
4. Pull thread tight, to gather the bottom into a tight circle, and knot
5. Whip stitch sides together
6. Place balloon inside lace, then blow up to fit lace's circle
7. Set the tail end of the balloon inside plastic cup, lace upside down
8. Apply a thick coat of fabric stiffener, then let dry
9. Pop balloon
10. Form flat base on bottom
11. Place tea light in votive
