Labour: Siddiq 'completely refutes' corruption allegations
Description
Darren Jones, Chief Secretary to the Prime Minister, says that Tulip Siddiq MP "completely refutes any allegations of wrongdoing" and believes that her trial in absentia 'was more political than legal' after being sentenced to a two year jail sentence in Bangladesh for corruption in the country. The former Labour minister was accused of using her influence over the country's former prime minister, who is her aunt, for her family's benefit. Report by Ketchs.
