Label Spotlight: Untzz Twelve Inch

Untzz 12 Inch are responsible for putting Adelaide house and techno music back on the map in recent years. The love child of five friends-turned-label partners Babicka, HVCK, Mic Mills, Freddie Norwood and Arthur Miles, Untzz 12 Inch started initially as an outlet for these friends to release their own take on dance music.

That was two years ago. Since then their limited release 180gram heavyweight vinyl cuts have consistently delivered quality club constructions from some of Australia’s most exciting up and coming talent including Francis Inferno Orchestra and Furious Frank. The most exciting releases however, are those dished out by the founding members themselves.
Never contained explicitly to one genre, the Untzz sound is simultaneously stripped back, complex, richly textured and it goes without saying, plenty of untzz.
Their DIY team approach has been felt in waves around Australia, invigorating the local music scene while also garnering the attention and support of the likes of Tom Trago, Ben Sims and Ben Klock.
