La Cambe Cemetery

American and German soldiers, side by side, are exchanging in their respective languages their memories on June 6, 1944. 65 years later, this ceremony honors all WW2 victims regardless of their nationality.

Australia, Germany, Poland, Norway, the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada and Holland, all nations are gathered in this historical landmark. This military cemetery, the largest in Basse-Normandie where 212 00 German soldiers are buried, the same message is being passed on; who does not know its history, does not have a future.
