The trees kissed each other
Good Morning
as I peeked around the fog
and up their
wrapped limbs
around and around
your hands in my head
turning thoughts
the things you
think of
make me want
to cry
you build a nest
for baby geese
to keep the foxes out
the water dish for
birds not coming
back (or will)
that time you lugged the seed bag
across the snow
to stop and hug
the damn dogs tight
forgiving
their weakness
enjoying
these interruptions
The things you think of
as the trees kiss each other
Good Morning
and I
wrap my limbs
around you
