L.A. Burn Areas Face Mudslide Risks Amid Storm
Description
Officials warned Sunday of an increased risk of mudslides in Los Angeles County burn areas due to incoming rain. A flood watch is in effect through Monday afternoon, with flash flooding and debris flows threatening roads and homes in wildfire-scarred regions. Meteorologists cautioned that debris flows, capable of carrying rocks and boulders, could occur after rainfall surpasses half an inch per hour.
