They have spawned from a flower to find a place in your heart
They are the unspoken words of love and guiding lights in the dark
They are the bond that holds us together
The bond that will last forever
They are not sharp, nor pointy or rough at all
Just silky smooth like a maiden’s shawl
They are the burly nets that catch your fall
And the magnifiers that make big seem small
They make everyday look so bright
They make every wrong feel so right
They make a rainy day become a starry night
And they are the resolution that solves a fight
They don’t curse or yell or hit or swear
They just lie quietly and gently stare
They keep you company when no one’s there
And will listen to all your stories that some people couldn’t bear
They will watch you work and watch you play
They help you through your every fray
They are the unspoken words of love and guiding lights in a troubled time
They are the beauty that’s true, the beauty inside
