Forever is falling down between you and I.
I'm one step closer to a completely broken heart.
So let's walk upon the dawn,
Where the black of your night,
Meets the gray of my mourning.

Can you feel my tears burn the dreams set atop the horizon?
With a blade as sharp as your stare,
I will cut the ropes that bind us.

Let's write a ballad of love and love lost,
And bury the refrain with a tragically happy end.
With verses laced in sorrow,
I'll sing 'til my mouth bleeds.
We can suck the bridge dry of all emotion,
And then search the skies for a new, unquenchable thirst.

Someday we will dowse these stars in kerosene,
And stare at our reflections in the flames,
Appalled at our division.
