Kristen Brown - A Thought

My world seems to be full of cold
Through my eyes everything looks so old
Though I'm not brave or strong or bold
I'm an old soul or so I'm told

Through these eyes all they see
is a world of darkness and so empty
Sometime I wonder, why God, why me?
Why did I have to see these atrocities?

Our world is tumbling into despair
And we are going with it, without care
Most dont know that it's there
That anything exists outside the internal world of theirs

You gave us a chance God
We're throwing it to waste
Yet we claim to be deserving
Hypocrites is what I taste

And see and smell and hear
They say face all, yet wont face their own fears
because if they did they may not stay, instead they may flee
And the world will know that they too feel empty
