Thoughts of you are dancing inside of my head
Can't get them out, they won't let go
I want to be around you and feel you near
Wanting to discover you, wanting to show

The feelings that surround me when you are in my sight
Butterflies in my stomach, my heart skips a beat
Wanting to reach out and touch your soft skin
What will happen the next time we meet

How much longer until our next touch
Whispering and breathing in each other's ears
Going to a fantasy place even though it's forbidden
How much more of this can we feel

Thinking of the feelings that has brought us to now
To think of 'what if' and wanting to know
Trying to figure out the how and the why
These are the feelings we should not show

Things have been said between you and I
Teased with the taste of a sweet tomorrow
Knowing that the feast isn't for us together
Having to let go but wanting to follow

Saying goodbye with one soft touch
Felt right through to the tips of my fingers
Taking a deep breath and walking away
The thought of you will always linger
