The mountains mighty all around
Shelter you from the harsh wind west.
The tenacious trees cover your face
And their shadows somber, your deed.

But the blazing, blatant, tawdry sun
Reveals me and all my fruit,
Ripe and round and full in bloom,
No shield, no shadow to blush within.

Your deed was mine and mine was yours,
I pay for mine and I pay for yours,
While mountains mighty and trees tenacious
Shield you, shadow you, to blush within.
