Kosovo demonstrations turn ugly

Violence broke out in Pristina at a demonstration against a new push by the European Union to normalise relations between Kosovo and Serbia. Eighteen police officers were injured in the clashes which followed talks in Brussels between the two prime ministers: Hashim Thaci of Kosovo and Ivica Dacic of Serbia. It was the first such meeting since Kosovo declared independence in 2008.
