We talk about Delhi every time pollution comes up
~ but quietly, Kolkata’s AQI crossed 400+, even worse on some days.

When AQI stays above 200, risks of asthma, lung infections, and heart issues shoot up — especially for kids and elders.

The scary part?
This isn’t visible smoke.
So it gets ignored.
News moves on. Politics moves on.
But ordinary people pay the price — daily.

Short-term fixes help, but they’re not solutions.
Till real action comes:
• Wear an N95 mask outdoors
• If you can, invest in an air purifier
