Description

Amanda Knox is back in court for the final stages of her appeal.
The verdict is expected Monday.
(SOUNDBITE) (English) AMANDA KNOX'S MOTHER, EDDA MELLAS, SAYING:
"She's extremely tense, she's losing weight, she can't eat and can't sleep. I mean this is, you know, these people hold her life in their hands, it's hugely stressful, it has been for years now. But you know, she'll get out of there and be OK."
The Seattle student is appealing a 2009 verdict that found her guilty of murdering her British roommate Meredith Kercher during a drug-fuelled sex assault.
Knox was sentenced to 26 years. Her Italian boyfriend at the time, Raffaele Sollecito, and an Ivorian drifter were also jailed.
Prosecutors allege Knox led the sexual assault and held the knife that slit Kercher's throat.
Her defence was helped by a forensics review casting doubt on DNA evidence used to convict her.
Knox is expected to address the jury before they decide her fate.
