The Chisinau Rose is a theatrical poem its author calls a heroic epos. It is not, therefore, a dramatic, but a theatrical text, an endless monologue. The text has many local meanings, but it is actually a living environment of us all, and therefore interesting to the Subotica audience to such an extent. It is a contemporary play of post-dramatic theatre, with a specific stage story, and at the same time with classical communication, which all together flows into a regional esthetics. It is not literary theatre. If we speak about a poem, we do not mean declamation. The play speaks par excellence about today’s theatre, and the poem appears in it like an act, as independent reality.
