Why did you leave me all alone?
I miss you telling me not to break my bone.

Why did god have to take you away?
I miss how you watched my friends and I play

Why did you have to leave me behind?
You were the only one who could fix my mind

Why do I feel like I need you here?
You were the one who told me not to fear

Why does the thought of you makes me want to cry?
You always gave me water when my mouth was dry.

Why are you up in the skies?
I can't find you anywhere with my eyes.

Why do I feel like I need you each night?
You're the only one that can make things right.

Why can't I find my wishing star?
I hate it now that you are far.

Why did the docters have to come out and say.
That the angels have come to take you away.

Why did we have to let you go
Why couldn't you be strong enough to just say no?

There were so many stories you promised you'd tell
But you left us behind and made our lives a living hell

I want you to see how much I grew
I love you so much I wish you knew

I wish I could take back the things I said
I wish I listened to you when you told me to go to bed

It's so hard to go through it all
I know you will never let me fall.
