Kira Williams - What Do You See?

when you used to look at me you smiled,
your eyes would light up and i could see how much you cared,
now instead of looking at me, you look through me,
as if im part of the wall.
when you look at me, what do you see?

when you used to hold my hand, you would squeeze it so i knew you were there,
your hands were warm and alive,
you always were there to protect me,
now you wont hold my hand, you wont even come near me.
when you look at me what do you see?

when you used to hold me in your arms, i felt protected,
your arms became restraints when i tried to fight,
now you wouldnt even think twice about protecting me,
youd just watch from the sidelines,
when you look at me what do you see?

i told you i loved you, once upon a time,
you said you loved me too, once upon a time,
but then something happened, i still wonder what it was,
but it caused you to take it all back,
i dont think ill ever understand this,
i know that i still love you, and im asking if you do too,
im not forcing an answer, only asking for one,
so i'll ask one more time,
when you look at me, what do you see?
