Kimberly Lindsey - Afraid and Afraid no more

Afraid to succeed, Afraid to fail,
Afraid to do nothing, Afraid to no avail.

Afraid of fear, Ruining my life.
Afraid of just stagnating….and dying.

Afraid,
Afraid,
Fear,
And more fear….

Wondering, how to get around it, And push it aside.
Smother it, tamp it down, make it subside.

I want to progress, succeed, and prosper.
I want my kids, and family, to be proud.

I want to say, I did it! and say it LOUD!
I want to say this is what I want, and this is my plan.
These are my goals, and THIS is how I will get there.

I am there.
I am here.
And it is time…

It is time to throw off the yoke of fear.
To embrace the change,
Relish the new,
And attack life with zeal!
