I take a breath,
And I hear you sigh.
I close my eyes,
I'll try hard not to cry.
You take my hand,
But I pull it away.
Together forever
Was what we would say.
Not today

A long time ago
We sat up in the night,
And wished on the stars
With all of our might.
That together forever'd
Last ever so long
But not now-
That stars' gone

A wish on a star
is not but a dream
And now that I know
Things are not as they seem-
Together forever
Was a phrase you would use.

Meant nothing to you.

Oh, you're just a waste
Of my time and my space
Pack up your bags
And walk out that door
I don't want to see
Your face here anymore.
