please please please
take me far away from here
somewhere I can start anew
this dead existence that chases me
is too worn and torn to replace

please please please
take me far away from here
somewhere I can learn to breathe
the chains that bound me falling away
and somewhere I can
forget your face

two years is far too long
to wait
to waste
please just take me now

down the fresh-paved road
with no stoplights
and no train tracks
the one that travels
straight away from you

therein lies the new world
where I can kill my past

I don't really know where it will take me
but if it leads me back to you
we'll know we were doing something right
all along
