You acted true,
Like you really cared,
You were there for me,
When I was scared.
You said you loved me.
For who I was.
I loved you too,
Only because,
You loved me still,
But not the same
As I loved you.
I was to blame.
Only a friend,
To me you were.
But I thought still,
I was sure.
But I was wrong,
I can now see.
Now you are gone,
Abandoned me.
All those times
We talked all night,
You had lied,
Just out of spite.
You led me on
Through this charade
A joke to you,
I feel betrayed.
You broke my heart,
Shattered to dust,
And now I cry,
I feel I must.
Tears are words,
The heart can't tell.
My heart is hard,
Closed in it's shell.
I curse the day
I learned to trust.
I was betrayed,
My heart was crushed.
And now before,
My hand is stayed,
I lay me down,
I've been betrayed...
