Kiev demonstrators resist cleanup effort

Vitaly Klitschko, the former heavyweight boxer and mayor-elect of Kiev, says it's time for the demonstrators to leave

Some have been camped out here for more than six months, choosing to stay on even after their protests helped bring down former president Yanukovich in February.

They say they're holding out for a genuine democracy and an end to corruption.

Even now, not everyone wants to go

A hardcore of protesters were making their presence felt on the streets on saturday

They believe that their mission is not yet accomplished despite recent elections.

"Until they clean up the government, until they accept our demands, until they work to unite the country - nobody will be going anywhere."
