Kevin Seales - Jumping Rope

Outside on the playground
I hear a familiar sound
Coming from someone I know

He does this all the time
He's a good friend of mine
He jumps rope in the cold wet snow

I asked, why he did this
He says he can't resist
It's better than jumping in the sand

I like it when a trace
Of cold air hits my face
And the snow hits the back of my hand

It's so fresh and clean
You know what I mean?
Falling down from the sky

It gives me hope
When I'm jumping rope
Aren't you glad you ask me why?
