Kevin Patrick - Atom Infinity

From day one he planned to live forever
Permanently typecast to his mortal coil
Defying the conventions of the natural order
By rewriting the rules of law clay and soil

So he built an empire for the sum purpose
To delay the inevitable of natural selection
No family or friends existed in his mission
In pursuit of the elixir of Lazarus condition


He used every method available to science
From telomere expansion and cellular renewal
But in his pursuit of becoming a titan
The universe declared him an irritating Fossil

Now Atom infinity courses through eternity
Riding on a jet train around the universe
Searching for a miracle for deaths immunity
Travels at the speed of light in his rocket hearse

He took a giant leap in the age of cryonics
Becoming a laboratory frozen dinner pharaoh
And when he awoke he took up cybernetics
Floating in a vacuum of wired cytoplasm

Then the centuries past and life moved on
Nations calcified and cultures went extinct
Millenniums perished to the chimes of eons
But Atom remained completely in synched

The sun went nova and the galaxy perished
Buried in the grass of inevitable entropy
Yet Atom remained determined to triumph
Emerging to become a naked Singularity

The last man alive in a universe of none
Flew the remnants of existence in flux
In his last words addressed to know one
Atom drew the cross and said “Fiat Lux”
And In the span of a moment which touched eternity
Atom ascended to the kingdom of infinity
