when the rain has finally gone away
a rainbow shone with colours so bright
oh what a delight to behold a wondrous sight
as a warm breeze sent a chant whisper through the air
it makes you feel that you have not a care
on a beautiful summers day

on a beautiful summers day
when the flowers are in bloom everything looks so gay
the roses are red the carnations are pink
oh how good it is to think
as you ponder your mind begins to wander
your childhood dreams are all gone it seems
the days of fun in the sun and blackberry pie
then sat by the lake just you and i
alas they are still there if you care
if you would like to look this way
on a beautiful summers day
