Ketan Hukare - Pompeii

Curse the magma that runs below,
Because it will soon come out
And take my every brother's soul.
Then, it was smoke that came out,
Now, lava is running down the slope.

Alone I can see that death is rolling down
Though its presence can be felt
All over the ground.
The land began to shake
Forcing my brothers to wake.
Calling out your beloved names
Else they will be burnt in flames.

I smell death as smoke and breeze
As fire is now burning the trees.
Our house is not far now,
What can we do in the eleventh hour now?
But to see how fire will surround
The houses fell by the trembling ground,
Having done with our teary eye,
Sending our souls to the sky.

The fire will have us all
And we will all die together.
Before the death itself,
Today, the city will fall.
Hear the mothers say
That we are preparing to leave,
Let fire take us all
And we will be free.
