Description

U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry will travel to Geneva to join talks on Iran's nuclear program, as Tehran and six world powers inch closer to an elusive breakthrough.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov arrived in Geneva on Friday evening and met with the Iranian Foreign Minister, who had arrived earlier on.

Meanwhile, speaking to reporters in Paris, French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius:

"You know the position of the six -- the five permanent members plus Germany, the Security Council plus Germany: our position is firm, but we also wish to find a solution. (JOURNALIST ASKING "Are you optimistic?") I am determined."
