Keran Azad Kashmir

Keran is situated on the bank of the river Neelum 1524 meters above sea level and 3 hour drive from Muzaffarabad, capital city of Azad Kashmir. It has some very picturesque scenery. The main attraction for this place is that India is visible on the other side of the river. There is also a small military bridge that connects the two divides, and one can see both Pakistani and Indian soldiers patrolling. Keran resort is built on river bank of Neelum. It is very healthy place from environmental point of view. Keran (Urdu: کیرن ‎‎) is a village and tourist resort in Neelam Valley, Azad Kashmir, Pakistan. It is located 95 kilometers (59 mi) from Muzaffarabad on the bank of Neelam River at the altitude of 1,524 meters (5,000 ft). Neelam village is 2.5 kilometers (1.6 mi) away from here.The adjacent village on the other side of the Neelum river in Indian Kashmir is also known as Keran.
