Kenya floods displace thousands.
Description
At least 15 people have died as the normally light rainy season has instead seen heavy downpours since late November.
According to the Red Cross, up to 5,000 families across the country have been left homeless, displaced, or otherwise affected by the deluge.
Rivers have burst their banks, flooding the land and drowning valued livestock.
The Kenyan government estimates at least 11 million US dollars will be needed to repair damaged roads and bridges.
The Horn of Africa earlier this year had its worst drought in 60 years, affecting millions across the region, and triggering a famine in parts of Somalia.
