As I stand my post all through the night,
I think to myself about our very first fight.
As I crawl through the sand,
I think of when I get to hold your hand.
As I fire my weapon down range,
I think that I love to see you change.
As I march all through the day,
I think of all the things you love to say.
As I fight the enemy on the battlefeild,
I think how our love refuses to yeild.
As I duck behind trees for cover,
I think that you are the greatest lover.
As I clean the bay to make it look good,
I think that you are here where you should.
As I stab the enemy in the chest,
I think how much that you are the best.
As I get up before the morning sun,
I think no wait, I know that you are the one.
And as I die with no one around,
I know you'll hear the whisper of my sound.
