Kennedy Phadima - Yesterday!

Yesterday I woke up
to a new and beautiful day
Ahead of me
were words to say
people to meet
Obstacles to overcome
Challenges to tackle
and all these I did

But no good did
goes unpunished
The sun came down
and brought my whole
world tumbling down on me
they say expect the unexpected
but the unexpected
sometimes bring
along pure misery

Does these mean
out of life we should expect misery
Mama taught me better than that
She told me life
is full of ups and downs
But my downs seem
to find their way to me
and my ups dont seem
to wonna catch up with me
or maybe I am just
travelling too fast

These were the happenings of yesterday
My emotions yesterday
And my fears yesterday.
