I sit here and watch you
Waiting for a sign, I am
Holding on with hope
That when you are called Home

My faith goes mute
Ashamed to appear around you
For fear of criticizm and denial
'Don't bring back what you learn, '
Is all that can be heard
Escape your lips when the subject arises

I worry for you
Please do not walk away
From what will save you
Forget those prior experiences
Listen to your TRUE teacher:
Your Father

I worry for you
But I would not have to
If you followed me
And walked beside Him
Out of the flames
Into His Home
