Kelsey Tennant - Floating

Storms coming
And I'm so alone
I see people
But they're not connected to me

I wait for someone to notice
That I'm drifting away
But no one does
Maybe I'm invisible

I search for a mirror
So I can prove my existance to myself
I look carefully, scanning the ground
I find one

I bring it up cautiously to my face
I can hardly bear the suspense
Finally it's there
I'm too afraid to look

Someone runs into me
I look up to see who it was
But instead I see the mirror
Gathering my courage i try to look

But then a hoard of people
Run into me
Knocking the mirror to the ground
Shattering it

I then notice that people are running through me
I panic
I notice that I'm floating, hovering
I see that what I thought was my reflection at last
Was my body
