seep in like moss
through the sidewalk cracks
to me like a dry yellow leaf in the fall
float down

crash in with the impact
of steel on steel
at high speeds
explode

not like the hollow echo
of stiletto on marble
but quiet like bare feet
on water

light up
in slow motion
a match being struck
in a gas drenched room

rise up like the moon
in the daylight
premature and willing
to share the sky

not like dancing fire
in celebration
but angry like Krakatoa
heard halfway around the world

fade in like a city skyline
growing in the frame
of a windshield
on a foggy day

dropp down steady and hard
so as to carve out stone
to me like water flowing
even after it has run out of land
