Time slowly passing
As the days turn into nights
Tears turn into nightmare
Nightmares turn into memories
Rain falls and washes away the past
As I sit and try to chase it
As I try to dwell there
Afraid that if I let go
I have deceived you
That I have broken my promise to you
And while I know I will never forget you
I am afraid your image will fade
Time slowly passing
As a person turns into a spirit.
