10 people made homeless by an eviction in Dalston, Hackney. Reporter and resident Richard Hering asks why. The house was rescued from dereliction by squatters for the last 3 years, who were popular neighbours. Mayor Jules Pipe said that anyone who opposed his gentrification plans was part of the "Keep Hackney Crap" brigade. If this is what he means, then yes, let's keep Hackney crap!
