Description

The Saiga antelope, which lives on the vast steppes of Central Asia, is one of the world's most endangered animals.

Since the end of the Soviet Union, its numbers have collapsed, with thousands of Saiga killed by poachers who value its horns, skin and meat.

Al Jazeera's Robin Forestier-Walker reports from Kazakhstan on efforts to protect this rare breed.
