Hypnotized, behind unseeing eyes
My soul is corrupt, and desensitized
Vitriolic voices rise, and harmonize
Hypnotized, behind unseeing eyes

Promises not kept are of the greatest lies
They turn their backs and ignore my cries
Perhaps making me all the more wise
Hypnotized, behind unseeing eyes

Sitting back, I heave great sighs
As I look into the darkened skies
Their friendship was their greatest guise
Slowly, they cause my mental demise

Hypnotized, behind unseeing eyes
Trying to deflect all of the lies
As the soul’s life slowly dies
And the wave of hope comes crashing down
Hypnotized, behind unseeing eyes
