when all I can do is cry

how can you make my eyes sparkle
when I can only think of the sad
how do you brighten my day with just a look

I always feel so happy with you
how do I feel so safe when I'm near you
you share a feeling with me with just a look

how is it u know
how is it you can open my heart
how do you make me feel so peaceful inside

how is it you make me feel special
how is it you calm my fears
how is it you know how to dispel my worries

how can you just say a word and ease my heart
you open my eyes to things I've never seen
how can it be that you've found the real me

how is it you notice
what everyone else has failed to see
how is it you're the one who makes me open myself to this

how is it you make me forget my dread
how is it just you who makes me feel protected
how can it be that you wake these thoughts in me
