I’m not sure what I would do without you there for me
A hug here, a kiss there, band-aids on my knees
Someone to talk to me about what to do in school
Telling me that drugs and alcohol aren’t worth being cool
Because you wanted me to become something good
And mom let me tell you, you done more then you probably should
As I’m growing up I realize this and can’t believe
That you were just trying to help me achieve
The many things or activities that I might want to do
To show me that I can really make dreams come true
When we fight I realize that I love you even more
Because all you want for me is to grow up and mature
To become that young lady that you raised me to be
To go into this world assure that I am me
The little things you do I may not realize now
But I love you more then ever and I want to show you how
By telling you thank you for all you have done
You are my hero, my idol, my only number one
