Why is it so hard to say goodbye
Is it the emotional part that makes you what to cry
Or is it the pain of knowing that everything is going to change

Your friends, your home, and things
That you’ve hold close
Will be in the past like a ghost

And your parents thinks it’s a hoax to have sorrow
Of a new start
And wants you to get over it like a dissolving sweet tart

And the fact is that’s the hard part
And I’m not willing to give that a shot
Because right now I don’t have the heart
For the goodbye part
