Kay Bell - One last breath

i will hold the plain white pillow
over my face until i lose all breath
i will fight, and kick, and scream
it will be a painful death

you werent there to save me
while i was gasping for air
you werent there to take my hand
which makes me wonder if you really care

my head will become light
when no oxygen reaches my lungs
tears will come to my eyes
the pain has only just begun

the fighting will finally stop
as i slowly start to die
but the pain i feel will receed
and my life will finally seem right
