Katlyn McGinn - Relax

This is not actually a poem, it is a piece of fiction wirting I worked on at school and felt the need to save, so I am posting it here. None the less, I hope whoever reads it enjoys.

Beneath the sparkling heavens – the topsy-turvy abyss of mammoth planets, moons and bursting stars, of magnificent clouds of birth and swirling dark tunnels of nothing, of other galaxies and things of our dreams and nightmares, of another universe all together – she lie, brilliant and glassy eyes reflecting the pin-pricks of light that held her wandering imagination. Those eyes studied the face of the moon, the magnificent and beautiful – yet shadowed – face of Selene and Artemis as well as many other deities, searching out images that other minds had found in this orbital sphere that eternally gazed upon the surface of her home, Earth. In the carpet of organic jade, she laid, the harmless blades licking at her skin as the atmosphere made play things of them and the wild flowers that could be found in this same field, this same hill top. Calm, was the world about her, not a creature ruffled or disturbed except by the atmosphere that lazily caressed the Earth's surface.
