i am the young dreamer
in my school class i am the secret schemer
the teacher thinks i listen as i watch her pace the class
im quite happy in my own land but alas
the teacher asks me a question
dare i make my confession
sorry miss i don't know, the words sound round the room
she tells me the answer and the dreams do resume
i dream of the nature reseve just meters from my seat
for the adventures of my childhood i do seek
as i recall the times of past the bell awakens me
the teacher pulls me to the side are you ok she doth plea
i say to her miss i have one simple problem
i am a day dreamer
